Am I the first?
I did the 'Introduction to Emotional Education' course on 31st ~May 2008 at Atlow Mill. My greatest fear was that I would hold back and play 'observer' but I needn't have worried because I was soon immersed in feelings I hadn't experienced, or should I say "owned up to", in a very long time . . . I'm now looking forward to 'Healing the Wounds of Childhood' in July.
I have been exploring my personal development for 23 years through groups, reading, courses, and therapy and although I know I don't 'have it all handled' I believe I have a good level of awareness. Some level of complacency had set in even though I knew there was a great deal of 'stuff' bubbling under the surface. The course last Saturday just loosened the lid a little on my personal can of worms.
I am hoping that this forum will become a 'safe space' where I can share my exploration . . .

Hello Xina, sounds like you had a very positive experience in many ways on the 'introduction to emotional education' course - Positive in the sense that it may help you in your personal journey. I have not done the 'Healing the Wounds of Childhood' course although it is something I feel I should do - maybe I am scared by it? I hope that you get a lot from this course and would love to hear if this has helped you.
You sound like you have gained a lot of experience though your personal development and I was just wondering what else has been useful for you over the years? other courses, groups, individual work?
Good luck on the course...

Healing the Wounds of Childhood
I told everyone on the course about this forum so I'm hoping some of them will join. It seems a perfect place to keep in touch and continue to explore our learning.
I'm still reeling a little, feeling a bit 'down'. There is such a lot to absorb . . .

I still find I come back to the learning on some of the courses I have done even after years... Its amazing how relevant it is even if the learning is sometimes uncomfortable... Do you have people you can talk to? Make sure you look after yourself - The road less traveled has got a lot of stones...
